Spotlight on Dromana’s community facilities

Dromana’s community facilities are back in the spotlight as we continue our work on the Dromana community facilities planning project. This includes a review to understand whether the facilities meet the local residents’ current and future needs. As part of this project we’re engaging with stakeholder groups to get an understanding of how they use the existing facilities and whether they have any unmet needs. Now, we’re ready to hear from all residents in or near Dromana.

In Dromana alone, the Shire owns and maintains 16 facilities including halls, meeting spaces, early years facilities and recreational pavilions. In previous years, residents have been excited about the idea of bringing some of these facilities together to build a bigger, multi-use ‘hub’. Post pandemic, we need to check if the feedback from previous consultations is still relevant and work with the community to develop an infrastructure plan that meets their needs.

Tell us:

  • Are the current facilities meeting the needs of the community?
  • How do you use the facilities?
  • Have you had difficulty accessing community space?
  • What could make it easier for you to access community space/facilities?

Meet us in person at Dromana Hub shopping centre:
