Stabbing in Glen Waverley

Police are investigating the circumstance surrounding a stabbing which occurred in Glen Waverley last night.

Investigators have been told a 54-year-old Berwick man was driving his silver VW Golf along the Tullamarine Freeway at Essendon about 8.00pm.

He was involved in a road rage incident with a 27-year-old Berwick man who was driving a white Nissan Navara.

Police have been told the 27-year-old and the 54-year-old followed each other to the Glen Waverley police station where both parties have exited their respective vehicles.

A physical altercation ensued which resulted in the 27-year-old being stabbed in the forearm and leg and the 54-year-old suffering facial injuries.

Both men were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators wish to speak to anyone who saw the Golf and Navara on the Tullamarine or Monash Freeways and an alleged crash between the two vehicles in the Domain Tunnel.
