Stars of TV set to Shine Bright on Gold Coast

A roll-call of the biggest names in Australian entertainment will descend on Queensland’s Gold Coast for the 61st TV WEEK Logie Awards on Sunday, June 30.

And viewers at home will have the best seats in the house when Nine broadcasts the star-studded ceremony, which will also be streamed on 9Now, LIVE across Australia from 7.00pm.

After making its Sunshine State debut last year, the prestigious Logies event returns to The Star Gold Coast to celebrate all that we love about Australian television.

The party kicks in with the red-carpet arrivals when hosts Sylvia Jeffreys, Leila McKinnon and David Campbell give you front-row access as TV’s favourite stars make their entrance to the eagerly anticipated annual awards ceremony.

At 7.30pm the formalities commence as Australia’s favourite programs and personalities are acclaimed for entertaining, informing and making us laugh over the past year.

Comedy legend Tony Martin returns as the voice of the Logies, while a cavalcade of stars will take to the stage in the Star Pavilion Ballroom to announce the honours. Among this year’s presenting lineup are:

Hamish and Andy, Boy George, Kelly Rowland, Rebecca Gibney, Sigrid Thornton, Carrie Bickmore, Kat Stewart, Tom Gleeson, Shaun Micallef, Georgie Gardner, Julia Morris, Costa Georgiadis, Peter Helliar, Richard Wilkins, Jane Kennedy, Mick Molloy, Tracy Grimshaw, Sam Neill, Sophie Monk, Amanda Keller, Bernard Curry, Todd Sampson, Edwina Bartholomew, Nicole da Silva, Ryan Corr, Grant Denyer, Scott Tweedie, Anton Enus, Rob Collins, Dan Wyllie, Andrew Winter, Dilruk Jayasinha, Dr Chris Brown, Dylan Alcott, Stephen Curry, Aaron Pederson and Leah Purcell.

Plus, the cast of Nine’s hit US comedy, Young Sheldon, will make a special guest appearance.

The party of the year also features an all-star lineup of music acts to perform live.

Multiple ARIA award winner and multiplatinum Australian singer/songwriter and actress, Delta Goodrem will roll out a show stopping performance when she takes to the Logies stage.

One of Australia’s most successful solo artists Guy Sebastian is also set to perform. The singer, songwriter and producer is the only Australian male artist to have ever achieved six number one singles and two number one albums in ARIA chart history. Guy will perform a medley of his hits for the TV WEEK Logie Awards audience.

Chart-topping singer, actress and Eurovision star Jessica Mauboy will perform a new song from her highly anticipated fourth studio album.

And American boy band Why Don’t We will perform their hit single, I Don’t Belong in This Club. The song, a surprise collaboration with Macklemore, has been streamed more than 70 million times globally, while Why Don’t We have amassed one billion streams worldwide to date.

Live voting for the most popular awards – including the Gold Logie – will reopen on Monday, June 24, and finish at the end of the TV WEEK Logie Awards red-carpet telecast on Sunday, June 30.
