Council acknowledges concerns raised about access to additional toilet facilities on local golf courses.
Sandringham and Brighton golf courses operate under commercial lease arrangements and are not run by Council. The tenants are responsible for day-to-day operations and the delivery of any agreed infrastructure.
Council does not have a general requirement to build or provide toilet facilities on land leased to commercial operators.
We expect tenants to meet the commitments and standards set out in their lease agreements. Council will continue to work with operators to ensure appropriate outcomes for the community.
