“Now the 2019 National Safe Work Month campaign has concluded I want to reiterate the importance of staying safe and healthy at work not just in October, but every day” Safe Work Australia CEO, Michelle Baxter said.
“This year, our theme Be a Safety Champion was a positive acknowledgment that anyone can champion work health and safety. It recognised the importance of taking an active role in promoting best practice health and safety initiatives and building a safety culture within Australian workplaces.”
As the national, tripartite policy body, Safe Work Australia is working to improve the wider community’s awareness of knowledge of work health and safety by providing access to a range of resources, provoking discussion and showcasing best practice work health and safety initiatives.
