Stealing With Violence Appeal At Gin Gin

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted and his vehicle stolen in Gin Gin last night, 18 August.

Around 10pm, emergency services were called to a service station on Mulgrave Street following reports a man in his 30s had been seriously assaulted by two males, unknown to him.

It is alleged the two male offenders threatened the victim with a knife, before striking him in the head with a metal rod.

The two males then stole keys to the victim’s vehicle, a white Isuzu Max station wagon, before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening head injuries during the assault and was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

Anyone who may have seen the Isuzu, bearing New South Wales registration EEL38R, including anyone with CCTV or dashcam of the vehicle, is urged to contact police.
