Northern Territory Police have arrested two boys in relation to an incident in Woodroffe yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Cottier said the boys, aged 10 and 11, had approached a nine-year-old boy who was riding his bike on Woodroffe Avenue just after 3:30pm.
“The older boys allegedly threatened him with a pair of scissors and attempted to steal his bike.
“The victim tried to defend himself and his bike, and received several superficial cuts in the process. Another child came to his assistance and the offenders took the opportunity to steal that boy’s bike before fleeing.”
Detectives from Serious Crime arrested the older boys today. They are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
