Joondalup Detectives have charged four people with 77 offences as they disrupt a criminal network involved in the supply of steroids and illicit drugs.
At 8:20pm on Friday, 3 July 2020, Police conducted searches of a Nissan 350Z and a Peugeot station sedan that had entered Seacrest Park carpark in Sorrento. It will be alleged that during the search they located cocaine, MDMA, $4970 in cash and items consistent with the sell and supply of drugs. Further quantities were also located on the drivers of each vehicle.
This led officers to execute search warrants at homes in Fitzgerald Street in North Perth and Maquire Road in Hillarys.
It is alleged that at the North Perth home, officers located MDMA, cannabis, steroids, $1250 in cash and drug paraphernalia. At the Hillarys home, officers located MDMA, cannabis, psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, steroids, $40,000 in cash and equipment associated with the manufacture of steroids.
On 13 July 2020, two packages were intercepted which contained more than 500 vials of steroids. As a result, a search warrant was executed at a home in Stanley Street in Scarborough where steroids, psilocybin mushrooms, cannabis, MDMA and items consistent with the cultivation of cannabis.
A 21 year old man from North Perth has been charged seven offences including:
• Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property.
• Unlawfully Possessed a Controlled or Prescription Drug.
• Possessed any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.
• Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis.)
• Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cannabis).
• Possessed a prohibited drug (Cocaine).
• Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (MDMA).
He next appears in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 5 August 2020.
A 23 year old man from Hillarys has been charged with 51 offences, including:
• Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply (Cocaine).
• Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (MDMA).
• Possessed a Prohibited Drug (Cocaine.)
• Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property.
• Give False Personal Details to Police.
• Possessed a Prohibited Drug (Cocaine).
• Unlawfully Possessed a Controlled or Prescription drug.
• Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply.
• Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis.)
• Possessed any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.
He is due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on 10 August 2020.
A 24 year old man from Scarborough has been charged with 12 offences including:
• Possession of Prohibited Drugs with Intent to Sell or Supply.
• Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis).
• Possessed drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.
• Cultivate a Prohibited Plant.
• Possession prohibited drug – (testosterone)
He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 21 August 2020.
A 21 year old man from Scarborough has been charged with seven offences including:
• Possessed any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.
• Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis).
• Possession Prohibited Drug – testosterone.
• Possession of a Prohibited Drug – Stanozolol.
• Possessed a Prohibited Drug.
• Possess a Prohibited Drug (MDMA.)
• Unlawfully Possessed a Controlled or Prescription Drug.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 21 August 2020.
