Stolen car linked to Whyalla hotel robbery

Police are searching for four men following a robbery at a Whyalla hotel a short time ago.

Just after 9pm on Thursday 8 August, four men attended a hotel on Gowrie Avenue, Whyalla Playford. One man remained in the car while three others, armed with an axe, jumped the counter and stole cash.

No staff members were threatened or physically injured during the robbery.

The thieves took off in a grey Nissan sedan, believed to be a gunmetal grey 1993 R32 Skyline, Victorian registration FT0009, stolen overnight from a Whyalla Norrie address.

The distinctive car has a rear spoiler and silver five-spoke mags wheels.

Whyalla CIB detectives and crime scene investigators are at the scene.

Anyone who spots the car is asked to call police on 131 444 immediately, or Triple Zero in an emergency.
