Stolen car pursued at Hendon, South Australia

Police are investigating after a stolen car was pursued at Hendon last night.

Just after 11pm on Sunday, 17 December a patrol saw a black Holden Commodore sedan driving at high speed on West Lakes Boulevard. Checks of the registration revealed the car had been stolen from Enfield between 10pm on Saturday 15 December and 1pm yesterday.

The brief pursuit was terminated due to the excessive speed of the Holden, and a about 10 minutes later a member of the public reported that the car had crashed at the intersection of West Lakes Boulevard and Tapleys Hill Road.

The driver of the vehicle fled prior to police arrival. The stolen car was towed from the scene for forensic examination.
