Stolen car torched at Seaton, South Australia

Police are investigating a break-in and theft of a car at Seaton early this morning.

About 1.50am, Monday 5 November, patrols were called to Leven Avenue after reports of a car on fire in the street.

When patrols arrived the car, a white Holden Astra was well alight, MFS attended and extinguished the fire but the car was completely gutted. The car had been stolen the night before from Tapleys Hill Road Royal Park.

Police spoke to a resident and discovered his home had been broken into where the keys to his black Ford Territory SA reg XCF456 had been stolen.

The Territory was stolen just after the Astra was set alight.

Patrols searched the area but were unable to locate anyone.
