Stolen Motor Vehicle Incidents in Perth

Perth Police have charged a man following a series of traffic incidents in Perth yesterday, 31 October 2019.

It will be alleged that around 3pm the man was at a house in Camilo of a person known to him, when he took the keys to a Holden station wagon without permission and left.

It will be further alleged that after 5:45pm the car travelled through East Perth, Perth and Northbridge at times exceeding the speed limit, breaching red traffic light controls and driving on the incorrect side of the road. During this time the vehicle narrowly missed pedestrians and other vehicles.

Just after 6pm the Holden travelled the wrong way along Hay Street (near Milligan Street), when it crashed into three vehicles.

The Holden continued along Hay Street against the flow of traffic when just before the intersection at William Street the driver attempted to fit between a CAT bus and another vehicle, but became wedged between the two. The driver exited the vehicle and was apprehended by members of the public a short distance away.

A 31 year old man from High Wycombe has been charged with:

– Driver in incident occasioning property damage failed to give name and address
