Police have charged five people after a stolen vehicle was tracked across Townsville yesterday afternoon, 25 August.
It will be alleged, about 12.50pm police observed a stolen blue Ford Ranger driving dangerously across Townsville.
Officers successfully tracked the vehicle to Dalrymple Road at Kirwan, where it was dumped.
Five people have then allegedly fled on foot but were taken into custody a short time later.
It will be further alleged, the Ford was stolen from an Heatleys Parade, Belgian Gardens address between 11pm on 24 August and 4.00am on 25 August.
A 16-year-old Keslo boy has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 14-year-old Keslo boy has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, and possession of a knife in a public place.
Both juveniles are expected to appear in Townsville Childrens Court on 28 August.
A 21-year-old Garbutt woman has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
She is expected to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on 9 September.
A 24-year-old Vincent man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling with intent and attempted robbery.
He is expected to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court today, 26 August.
An 18-year-old Gulliver man was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling with intent and attempted robbery.
He is expected to appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court today, 26 August.
