Croydon Divisional Response Unit detectives couldn’t believe their luck after a stolen vehicle arrived at a property while they were in the middle of executing a search warrant.
Two people were arrested after the warrant was executed at Canterbury Road address in Bayswater just after 4.30pm yesterday.
The warrant follows an investigation into alleged burglary which occurred at a Wantirna home last month.
Police seized a stolen vehicle located on the property.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Whilst police were executing the search warrant, a man arrived at the home in another allegedly stolen vehicle.
The male driver was subsequently arrested.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen during a burglary in Dandenong North late October.
A 33-year-old man was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, burglary and bail offences.
He was remanded to appear at Ringwood Magistrates Court later today.
