Police are investigating after an unknown man has stolen a number of vehicles in the Logan area last night, 7 July.
Initial information indicates about 8pm an unknown man has approached a 19-year-old woman at a service station on Chambers Flat Road, Park Ridge with a knife and demanded the keys to her Mazda.
The woman ran into the service station and was not injured.
The unknown man has then approached a silver Ford Falcon, and threatened a 44-year-old man with the knife and demanded he get out of his vehicle.
The man has exited the Ford, and the unknown man has entered the vehicle and fled towards Marsden.
About 8.20pm, the Ford was involved in a three-vehicle traffic crash on Chambers Flat Road, Marsden.
No one was seriously injured as a result of the traffic crash.
The unknown man has exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
About 8:25pm, the unknown man approached a 33-year-old man sitting in a grey Nissan X-Trail at a shopping centre carpark on Chambers Flat Road, Marsden.
The unknown man threated the man with the knife and assaulted him before fleeing in the Nissan.
The man received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Logan Hospital for treatment.
The unknown man remains outstanding.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant information to contact police.
Investigations remain ongoing.
