Albany Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Centennial Park (Albany) last night, Friday 12 November 2021, in which a vehicle was stolen from a woman.
About 8:10pm a 62-year-old woman parked a silver Ford Falcon utility in the driveway of a commercial business on Lockyer Avenue. The woman was standing next to her vehicle, intending on taking photos of a nearby fireworks display, when she was approached by an unknown male person who pushed her out of the way so he could enter her vehicle.
After a short struggle the man was able to steal the vehicle.
The stolen vehicle was located about 6:00am this morning on Minerva Street, Yakamia (Albany), near the intersection of Leslie Street.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw the stolen vehicle being driven between 8:10pm last night and 6:00am this morning, or anyone who has information regarding the identify of the person or persons in possession of the vehicle in the same timeframe.
