Strengthen your cybersecurity skills at Georges River Council’s Cybersecurity Workshop

Georges River Council

Georges River Council, in collaboration with the St George Business Chamber, is coordinating a cyber security workshop to arm local businesses with the expertise to combat evolving digital threats.

The workshop, designed to provide essential knowledge and resources to small and medium businesses, will help business owners confidently safeguard their digital assets.

In today’s digital age, cybersecurity is the cornerstone of protecting your organisation, its valuable assets, and your workforce from cyber threats.

The threat landscape is constantly evolving with cybercriminals adapting to the latest trends, technologies, and tactics.

These attacks, including phishing, stolen credentials, and ransomware, are among the leading cybercrimes – with one reported every seven minutes to the Australian Cyber Security Centre.

Georges River Council, in collaboration with the St George Business Chamber and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), are proud to bring together a line-up of distinguished guest speakers who are leaders in the cybersecurity industry:

  • Brett Oberstein, Visiting Scholar of the School of Electrical and Data Engineering at UTS, a seasoned veteran in the Information Technology and Telecommunications Industry.
  • Colin Renouf, Principal Cyber Security Enterprise Solution Architect, with over 40 years of experience and contributions to the field.
  • ThreatDefence, an Australian cyber security company with a global footprint, represented by CEO Zlatko Hristov and COO Anton Guzhevskiy.

Georges River Council Mayor, Cr Sam Elmir said, “In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, it’s imperative that our local businesses have access to the latest information and tools to protect themselves against cyber threats”.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your cybersecurity knowledge and fortify your business’s defences in an ever-changing digital landscape.
