Strike Force Goondooloo charges four over alleged drug supply – Narrabri

Four men have been charged as part of investigation into the alleged commercial supply of methamphetamine in the state’s northwest this week.

In September 2022, Strike Force Goondooloo was established by officers from Oxley Region Enforcement Squad (RES) to investigate drug supply in the Narrabri area.

Just after 10.30am yesterday (Wednesday 29 March 2023), strike force officers, with the assistance from Western Region Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team from Dubbo and Tamworth, attended four homes throughout Narrabri.

Three men – aged 47,44, and 42, and a woman aged 36 – were arrested and taken to Narrabri Police Station.

The 47-year-old man was charged with four counts of supply prohibited drug, do act intending to pervert the course of justice, and receive property-theft.

The other men have each been charged with two counts supply prohibited drug.

The woman was charged with supply prohibited drug. The 44-year-old man and woman were given conditional bail to appear at Narrabri Local Court on Wednesday 26 April 2023.

The two other men were refused bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court today (Thursday 30 March 2023), where they were formally refused bail to appear at Gunnedah Local Court on Tuesday 4 April 2023.

Investigations under Strike Force Goondooloo will continue.
