Students honoured in Values Awards

A total of 324 Tasmanian students who have demonstrated the values of aspiration and growth have been recognised with special ceremonies across the state.

The Aspiration and Achievement Awards recognise high achieving students and the Growth Awards recognise those learners who have demonstrated significant academic growth.

These values have an important influence both on educational attainment and future life outcomes.

The students recognised today have all demonstrated a commitment to their learning; to aim high and challenge themselves to be the best they can be.

In the North-West 30 students received Aspiration and Achievement Awards, and 49 students who were awarded Growth Awards.

A total of 36 students from the North of the state received Aspiration and Achievement Awards, and 49 received Growth Awards.

While in the South, 89 students received Aspiration and Achievement Awards and 74 students received Growth Awards.

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is committed to improving educational standards across the state and is investing record amounts in our education system.

Congratulations to these truly deserving students, who should be very proud of their achievements.
