Study Australia Global Agent Week 2021

Austrade

Between 29 November and 3 December 2021, the inaugural Study Australia Global Agent Week engaged education agents around the world in a virtual program of global, regional and local sessions across two time zones.

More than 2,800 education agents, representing Australian providers globally, tuned in to the inaugural Global Agent Week presented by the Study Australia Partnership. The event included a virtual exhibition hall with the option for live chat with government representatives, as well as tailored regional and local briefing sessions for agents in Japan, Pakistan, Mongolia, ASEAN, LATAM, Africa.

Education agents around the world attended global information sessions, held across two time zones each day, with presentations by the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs (DHA), Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) and Department of Health, as well as Austrade, and each state and territory study destination agency.

Sessions focused on news and updates relating to Australia’s National Plan, changes to visa policy, vaccine recognition and student arrivals plans.

Agents attending global sessions were most keen to discuss the anticipated easing of travel restrictions and the ways in which students could best prepare for a return to Australia ahead of Semester 1 classes in 2022.

During the program, Austrade launched a new Study Australia Partner Hub, providing a central location for all relevant agent information. The new Partner Hub features a range of resources, including latest policy news, the Study Australia Insights podcast series, links to a new Education brand library and up-to-date information on student arrivals, visas and travel.

Study Australia Global Agent Week session recordings will be available soon via the Study Australia website.
