Sturt Police Station re-opened, South Australia

Sturt Police Station, on Sturt Road, at Bedford Park, was re-opened to the public at 9am this morning (23 October).

The police station has been closed, both for public services and as a police patrol base, since July when it was evacuated due to cracking in the building.

Staff, vehicles and equipment were moved to a range of other locations while the building was inspected, assessed, repaired and thoroughly cleaned.

Last week, when he announced the date of the reopening, Assistant Commissioner Paul Dickson thanked the SA Police employees, and wider community impacted by the temporary closure, for their patience during this period.

The opening hours at the nearby Netley Police Station now return to normal business hours, while Sturt Police Station will be open to the public from 9am to 9pm, seven days a week.
