Brisbane Water Police are appealing for information after a submerged vessel was located south of Russell Island between Cobby Cobby Island and North Stradbroke Island yesterday morning, July 5.
At approximately 11am, officers retrieved the silver 3.5 metre Savage Gull dinghy (pictured) which was submerged in water after capsizing. There was no personal property in the boat, and the boat’s registration was unreadable. Police have conducted a search in the area and are seeking community assistance to locate the owner of the vessel.
Any person who may recognise the dinghy or has information regarding the ownership is urged to call police.
