Suburban Rail Loop early planning works in Clayton

The Suburban Rail Loop Authority will be undertaking geotechnical (ground) investigations in Clayton to assist with the early planning and design work for the major transport project.

The authority is currently doing ground investigations in Glen Waverley.

The Suburban Rail Loop will connect Melbourne’s middle suburbs to priority growth precincts, and link all Victorians to major health, education and employment centres. Clayton and Glen Waverley are proposed locations for stations.

These works will take place along Haughton Road near the intersection of Clayton Road in Clayton, starting on Monday 18 November for two weeks.

Works will require temporary use of six car parks along the road for drilling works and support vehicles and there will be times of medium level noise associated with the non-destructive drilling works.

The works will take place from 7am – 5pm, Monday to Friday and 7am – 1pm on Saturdays. The timing of these works may change depending on weather and ground conditions.
