Detectives from Cooktown Criminal Investigation Branch have commenced a sudden death investigation into the death of a 38-year-old woman in Cooktown on Monday (February 6).
Police were called to a Bradbury Street address around 5pm following reports of a deceased woman being located at the property.
A crime scene has been declared and investigations are underway to determine cause of death.
Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in either area at the time is urged to contact police.
