Suspect in Cudlee Creek break-in released

Detectives have released CCTV of a suspect allegedly involved in a break-in at Cudlee Creek on Saturday morning.

About 6am on Saturday 24 June, police were called to a business on Gorge Road after an employee discovered the premises had been broken into and an ATM stolen.

CCTV revealed the break-in and theft had occurred about 4.30am and a white Mazda had been used to ram the front doors. Two people were captured stealing the ATM.

The suspect vehicle had been reported ablaze on Angas Creek Road at Birdwood about 5.30am on Saturday. Checks revealed the Mazda had been stolen from Brompton in the last week.

A few hours later, about 8.30am a member of the public called police after they located the front of an ATM on Tippett Road at Millbrook.

About 11am today (Sunday 25 June), police were called to Checker Hill Road in Kersbrook after the remainder of the stolen ATM was located. A small amount of money had been stolen from the damaged ATM.

Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene to gather forensic evidence. The ATM has been returned to the victim.

Hills Fleurieu Detectives have released CCTV of a suspect allegedly involved in the break-in and theft.
