Suspect Located By Police Dog Edge

A man has been arrested at Mile End for a Hotel robbery.

Just after 12am Thursday 30 May, Police responded to reports of a robbery at a Torrensville Hotel on Henley Beach Road.

A man entered the hotel and threatened a staff member with a knife demanding cash.

The suspect was given a small amount of cash and then left the hotel.

Patrols together with Dog Operations attended the scene and police dog Edge was able to track the suspect to nearby Henley Street.

Edge has located the man in the front yard of a Henley Street home at Mile End. The man dropped the knife when confronted and was safely arrested for aggravated robbery.

The suspect, a 36-year-old man from Adelaide was taken to the City Watch House and charged. He did not apply for bail and will appear today in the Adelaide Magistrates Court.
