Rockhampton police are investigating the unlawful discharge of a firearm in the Alton Downs area overnight.
Just after 8.30pm, residents on McNamara Road observed a person acting suspiciously in the street.
They describe two shots being fired, with one bullet entering a window of a house.
No one was physically injured.
A crime scene was established and investigations continue.
