Victoria has named a 12-player squad for its fourth Dean Jones Trophy match of the season against Tasmania at Ninja Stadium on Saturday, October 24, with Australian representatives Will Sutherland and Todd Murphy included.
The return of Sutherland and Murphy gives Victoria’s bowling attack a significant boost as the side looks to build momentum early in the one-day campaign.
St Kilda bowler Matt Hennig has also been included in the squad and is in line to make his Victorian debut, continuing the emergence of exciting talent through the state’s Premier Cricket and pathway programs.
Fellow fast bowler Mitch Perry is also pushing for his first Victorian appearance of the summer, following an impressive start to the Premier Cricket season with Richmond.
Perry was a consistent performer for Victoria throughout the 2025/26 campaign, taking 34 wickets across 10 Sheffield Shield and One-Day matches.
The inclusions provide Victoria valuable bowling depth ahead of its trip to Hobart, as the side looks to return to winning ways in the Dean Jones Trophy.
Victoria faces Tasmania on Saturday, October 24, at Ninja Stadium in Hobart, with play beginning at 10:30am AEDT. Catch the match live on Kayo Sports and cricket.com.au
