The countdown is on for Australia to host the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2022 for the first time. The much-anticipated event, delayed from 2020 due to COVID-19, will begin in just 100 days.

Australia enters the eighth edition of the event as defending champions after winning their first ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title in 2021. Their campaign starts at the SCG against New Zealand on 22 October in a rematch of the 2021 T20 World Cup decider.
