TAB Cranbourne Cup to go ahead on 13th November

Cranbourne Turf Club

In a major boost for the region, Cranbourne Turf Club Chief Executive Officer Neil Bainbridge announced today that the Cranbourne Turf Club is proceeding with its plans to deliver the TAB Cranbourne Cup on Saturday, 13th November.

Prizemoney for the day has doubled to $1.5 million and this is the first time Cranbourne will be on the prime stage with a stand-alone Saturday metropolitan event during the Spring Racing Carnival.

“We can’t wait to allow our loyal members and the broader community the opportunity to get back to enjoy real racing,” Mr Bainbridge said.

“This has not been an easy time for anyone and we recognise how fortunate we are to be able to deliver our flagship event this year.”

At this stage the crowd is likely to be capped at 4,000 patrons and the intention is to sell all tickets prior to race day. Should COVID impact the ability to host the day, all tickets will be refunded.

There are a range of hospitality packages available.

“We encourage people to book early as due to crowd capacity limits our packages will sell out fast. It will also be a condition of entry that all adults provide proof that they have been double vaccinated to be granted entry,” Mr Bainbridge said.
