Teen dies; three critical after crash at Cowra, NSW

A teen has died and another three are in a critical condition after a single motor vehicle crash in Cowra today.

About 3.05pm (Sunday 15 September 2019), emergency services were called to Darbys Falls Road, near Porters Mount Road, where a car had crashed.

A Holden sedan, with four occupants, was travelling west bound when the vehicle left the road, crashed into a tree and rolled.

Police, NSW Ambulance paramedics, Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Police Rescue and NSW Rural Fire Service attended.

A 17-year-old male passenger died at the scene.

The three other occupants were removed from the vehicle and conveyed from the scene via road ambulance before being airlifted to hospital.

The 18-year-old male driver was taken to Liverpool Hospital, while a 17-year-old female passenger was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital and a 19-year-old male passenger was taken to Westmead Hospital.

A crime scene has been established and Crash Investigation Unit are attending to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Darbys Falls Road is closed, and east bound traffic is being diverted to Camp Road, while west bound traffic is being diverted to Jukes Lane.
