An investigation is underway following a stabbing in Sydney’s west.
About 5.15pm today (Monday 1 September 2025), emergency services were called to Merrylands Railway Station following reports of a stabbing.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 16-year-old boy before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told the boy had been assaulted by two males who left the scene.
Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
A 33-year-old man was arrested nearby on unrelated matters.
