Teenage girls sexually assaulted at parties

Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged an 18-year-old man as part of their ongoing investigation into young girls being sexually assaulted at organised parties being held at short term rental accommodation and advertised online.

It is alleged between November 2019 and January 2020 the man sexually assaulted two girls aged 15 at the time of the first offence.

The man from Thornlie has been charged with:-

• Two counts of Sexual Penetration of a Child of or over 13 years and under 16 years; and

• One count of Aggravated Sexual Penetration without Consent.

He is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 18 August 2020.

The investigation by Child Abuse Squad has identified a group of linked people who are organising parties at short term rental accommodation using fraudulent credit cards. The parties are advertised online and target at specific ethnic groups and attract a large number of young people.
