Teenager charged with aggravated break and enter at Narrabri, NSW

A teenager has been charged following an aggravated break and enter in the state’s north west.

About 1.15pm Monday (27 January 2020), a male allegedly entered a house on Blanche Peadon Drive, Narrabri.

A man, aged 71, was home asleep and was uninjured.

It will be alleged that the male was confronted by a neighbour and he produced a knife before fleeing the scene.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended a short later and located a 17-year-old boy on McClintock Street.

The teenager was arrested and taken to Narrabri Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence armed, being armed with intent to commit indictable offence – having previous conviction, use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention and carry cutting weapon upon apprehension.

The teenager appeared at a children’s court on Tuesday (28 January 2020), where he was refused bail to appear at a children’s court on Monday 24 February 2020.
