A teenage boy is in a critical condition after being stabbed on the Central Coast.
About 9.45pm yesterday (Friday 21 August 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Painters Lane, Terrigal.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 15-year-old boy for a stab wound before he was taken to Gosford Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District have been informed that the boy was in company with several other teenagers when he was stabbed.
After being stabbed the boy attended a home on Painters Lane seeking assistance where the homeowner rung Triple Zero.
The boy and the homeowner are not known to one another.
Police have spoken to a number of teenagers who were in the vicinity at the time but no arrests have yet been made.
A crime scene was established.
