Teenager seriously injured and offenders outstanding following Glen Huntly armed robbery

Police are investigating after a teenager was seriously injured in an incident at Glen Huntly on Monday, 4 September.

Investigators have been told the 14-year-old boy was confronted by unknown offenders in a dark grey Volkswagen Tiguan about 3.35pm.

It appears the teenager has been forced into the vehicle which has then driven off along Neerim Road.

A short time later the victim has come out of the moving vehicle, in unknown circumstances, near the intersection of Grange Road and sustained significant injuries.

He has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.

Police are investigating if the matter is linked to an earlier incident where four teenagers were robbed by two unknown offenders armed with machetes in nearby Kambrook Road about 3.25pm.
