Teens run from crash at Modbury, South Australia

Police are searching for a driver and four passengers after a crash at Modbury this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a five-car collision at the intersection of Wright Road and McIntyre Road, Modbury at 2.30pm on Saturday 13 November.

Witnesses reported that five teenagers, four females and a male, in a blue Holden Commodore had run from the scene of the crash. The teens are described as of Aboriginal appearance, possibly wearing bright hoodies and clothing.

Police searched the area with the assistance of PolAir and Police Dog Bandit, but have not yet located the teens. The Commodore sustained significant damage in the crash and it is believed the occupants may have been hurt, potentially suffering life-threatening injuries.

A 12-year-old boy in a ute was taken to the Modbury Hospital as a precaution.

The five vehicles were all towed from the scene.

The Holden Commodore has since been reported as stolen. It was seized by police for forensic examination.
