Temporary closure of education centre after COVID-19 case

NSW Health has confirmed that a staff member from Kids’ Early Learning (KEL) Quakers Hill, Long Day Care centre has tested positive for COVID-19.

Blacktown City Council was advised on Sunday night, 9 August, of the diagnosis.

The staff member last worked at KEL Quakers Hill on Monday 3 August 2020.

Blacktown City Council is working closely with NSW Health and the centre is now temporarily closed for deep cleaning.

It is anticipated the centre will reopen the week starting Monday 17 August 2020 with the exact date to be confirmed.

All other KEL Quakers Hill staff members have been advised to get tested for COVID-19 and are in isolation.

Parents and families of children in care at KEL Quakers Hill have also been advised.
