Temporary closure of Kilsyth Centenary Pool

Kilsyth Centenary Pool

Council wishes to advise that the Kilsyth Centenary Pool will be closed as of this afternoon until further notice.

As part of routine maintenance and following recent vandalism, some structural issues have been identified relating to the inflated dome that encloses the pool which requires further detailed investigation.

Unfortunately, due to the unique construction of the dome, investigations will be complex and will require that the dome is deflated, hence the need to close the pool.

The decision to close the pool during the structural assessment is not taken lightly, however the safety of our community and staff is paramount.

Council will work with our aquatics contract partner, Belgravia Leisure, to support all members and customers affected by this closure with alternative arrangements. Further communications will come through Belgravia on this.

We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and will keep you informed throughout. For other aquatic facilities in Yarra Ranges, please visit https://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/Experience/Pools-water-play-parks.
