Temporary closure of Ross Park, Lennox Head: Ballina Shire

Ross Park will be temporarily closed from Thursday 4 November 2021 until early December while works are carried out for the Lennox Village Vision project.

During this time Ballina Shire Council crews and contractors will:

  • Remove the existing play equipment
  • Complete underboring for new services
  • Install underground power
  • Install new picnic shelters
  • Carry out footpath and paving works.

Adjoining carparks in Rayner Lane and Ballina Street will also be unavailable during the temporary closure. Beach access will be maintained through Ross Park.

Ross Park will be partially reopened when works are completed allowing the open space to be used over the summer holiday period.

New playground equipment will be installed and landscaping works carried out from February 2022 to mid-2022.

Once complete, the Ross Park upgrade will include a new play space with all-ability carousel, timber fort and nest swing, accessible toilet, interactive sculpture, covered picnic areas, shade trees and seating.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the community for their patience during this temporary park closure. For other park locations please visit ballina.nsw.gov.au/playgrounds
