Cairns Regional Council advises that a section of Aeroglen Dr has been closed to allow for repairs to a sewer pipe.
The closure is just north of the Aeroglen Dr / Sheridan St intersection.
Traffic using Aeroglen Dr to access Sheridan St is being diverted to the Whitfield St / Sheridan St intersection, and back onto Aeroglen Dr.
The Yellow Arrow walking track is open for use and motorists can use the Aeroglen Dr, via Whitfield St / Sheridan St intersection, to access the carpark.
It is expected that the road will open by 5pm today.
Residents are advised there is no impact to their sewerage system.
Council apologises for any inconvenience.
