Tender advertised for school redevelopment

The Hodgman Liberal Government is getting on with providing the biggest ever commitment to education infrastructure in Tasmania’s history.

Three Tasmanian schools are set to benefit from nearly $6 million in upgrades to learning environments as a result of construction projects advertised for tender today.

The construction tenders are:

  • Taroona High School: Major redevelopment to provide new contemporary learning areas, support spaces and music and drama facilities.
  • Port Dalrymple School: Redevelopment to provide additional general learning area, breakout space, resource and staff area and amenities.
  • Mowbray Heights Primary School: Kindergarten refurbishment including additional toilets.

These capital projects will also drive economic growth and create jobs in those communities.

A total of $96 million is being invested across the forward estimates in capital works which includes new schools, school upgrades, new Early Learning Hubs and school farm redevelopments.
