A beautifully told story, without words. Steeped in Chinese mythology, the drama unfolds through live performances and puppetry, and a visual feast of exquisite costumes and scenery.
Directed by world-famous Australian director, Peter Wilson, The Dragon Child has been performed in countries around the world since 2009. Peter’s mastery of puppetry and visual theatre has enthralled audiences for over 40 years. Locally we all saw this in ‘Nature’ which Peter directed for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony.
The Dragon Child has received wide acclaim by drawing on the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac to help deliver a powerful environmental message. Told from the perspective of a child this unique experience captures the imagination of children and adults alike.
