Police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen from a railway station carpark in Clayton last week.
It’s understood the vehicle was parked at Clayton Railway Station and stolen just after 12.15pm on 8 May by an unknown male offender.
He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and was wearing a short sleeve grey hoodie, white t-shirt, dark shorts, red and grey Asics runners and carrying a backpack.
The vehicle is described as a white 2002 Toyota Hilux utility registered SCY 960.
About 4pm that same day in Casey, two women became involved in an altercation following an attempted shop theft at a Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road shopping centre.
One punched a staff member in the face before the pair fled into the waiting Toyota Hilux, driven by what is believed to be the same unidentified male.
The first woman is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with long dark hair, solid build, wearing three-quarter length jeans, black jumper, dark beanie and white runners.
The second woman is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with long dark hair, solid build, wearing three-quarter length jeans, black jumper, dark beanie and white runners.
Investigators have released images of the vehicle and two women they wish to speak with who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the vehicle or who recognises the women to come forward.
