PayStay is an app that allows you to pay for parking on your phone, and it is now available to use in Boroondara. Once you set up a PayStay account, it’s as easy as pressing ‘start’ on the app when you arrive and ‘stop’ when you leave.
The benefits of PayStay include:
- Paying only for the parking time that you use
- Being able to opt in to receive updates to your phone when your parking time is nearly expired, which helps if you lose track of time
- Having the flexibility to decide to shop or dine a little longer without going back to your car or refill the meter – the app has a timer which can track your parking session.
We’ll still be accepting coins and credit cards at all parking meters, so don’t throw your spare change away. We just wanted to expand the options for our community with an alternative payment option for those who prefer to use the PayStay app.
Just like we do for credit card surcharges on ticket machines, Council will absorb all transaction fees when you use PayStay.
