Thinking About Flood Free Home?

Thinking about a flood free home and what the next steps might be to raise you house above future flood levels? If so, then come along to a free workshop where we will explore what it takes to lift your home to a safer level and some of the opportunities and challenges you might encounter.

It doesn’t matter if your house is old or new, or if you have qualified for government assistance or you’re just taking the initiative, the workshop is designed to help you think through the critical issues you need to consider before your start your project.

And if you live in a flood prone area, raising your house above likely future flood levels has its benefits because you’ll be protecting your family, your property, and personal belongings, and avoiding the financial and emotional impacts of having your home damaged by floods.

The workshop will be hosted by Mullum Cares, and Clarence Valley Council Planning and Recovery Officers and staff from James Davidson Architects, and a NSW Reconstruction Authority Case Manager will also be available to help answer any of your questions.

The Community House Raising Workshop will be held on Thursday 04 April 2024 between 5:30pm and 7pm at the Grafton Regional Gallery, which is located at 158 Fitzroy Street, Graton and places are limited so to secure your spot, simply go to www.llnr.com.au/whatson.
