A third man has been charged following an investigation into an alleged aggravated robbery in the state’s north-west in September.
Just after midnight on Sunday 20 September 2020, two women – aged 53 and 55 – were sitting in a Mercedes coupe on Darling Street, Bourke, when they were approached by a group of males.
When they allegedly threatened the women with a knife, the women got out and the car was driven from the scene.
Detectives attached to Central North Police District established Strike Force Doak to investigate the incident.
As part of their inquiries, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District charged a 24-year-old man last month. He remains before the courts.
A 21-year-old man from Enngonia was arrested at a unit on Amber Court, Dubbo, about 8pm on Saturday (3 October 2020).
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with aggravated robbery and be carried in a conveyance taken without consent of the owner. He remains before the courts.
Following further inquiries, an 18-year-old man was arrested at a home on Taylor Street at Dubbo about 6.50am today (Friday 9 October 2020).
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with aggravated robbery and being carried in conveyance without the consent of the owner.
He was refused bail to appear before Dubbo Local Court today (Friday 9 October 2020).
