Third person charged after 2019 Kings Park stabbings

Homicide Squad detectives have arrested a third person following a fatal stabbing in Kings Park last year.

Police travelled to Sydney on Wednesday 1 April and executed a charge and warrant on a 20-year-old Melbourne man.

An application for extradition was subsequently granted by a New South Wales court and the man has been returned to Victoria.

He is charged with one count of murder, armed robbery and intentionally cause serious injury, and will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court shortly

The charge follows an incident on 28 September, 2019 where two teenage boys were taken to hospital with stab wounds following an alleged altercation on main Road West.

One of the teens, a 17-year-old, died in hospital while an 18-year-old sustained serious injuries.

An 18-year-old Sydenham man was charged on 8 October, 2019 with one count of murder, armed robbery and intentionally cause serious injury.

A 17-year-old Hillside boy was charged on 13 October, 2019 with one count of murder, armed robbery and intentionally cause serious injury.
