ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: Weather Situation: Instability and warm temperatures ahead of a cold front moving eastwards across the south of the
NT will lead to the development of scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Strong winds in the upper
atmosphere will lend support to some of these storms becoming severe.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next
several hours. Locations which may be affected include Jervois, Ampilatwatja and Simpson District east of Finke.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Tanami district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
