THIS WEEKEND – New date for postponed Coffs Harbour Memory Walk & Jog

Locals are getting ready for the rescheduled 2021 Coffs Harbour Memory Walk & Jog event, which will be held this Saturday 17 April 2021 at Jordan Esplanade.

Walk, jog or run along the beautiful esplanade anytime between 8am and 4pm on the day. The event provides a great way to get active and help beat dementia by completing whatever distance you choose, and at a time that suits you!

Originally planned for March, the event was postponed due to weather conditions. Dementia Australia would like to thank all those registered to participate who have so willingly committed to continuing to support the event on this new date.

Funds raised through the Memory Walk & Jog series help provide invaluable support, education and resources for people living with dementia in Australia, their carers, families and friends.

Currently there are an estimated 4,700 people living with dementia in the federal electorate of Cowper. With that figure projected to increase to about 5,900 by 2058, events like Memory Walk & Jog play an important role not only in funding support, but also in raising awareness of dementia.

There is still time to register for the Coffs Harbour Memory Walk & Jog event, or learn about the many other events in the 2021 series planned across Australia. Each event offers fun for people of all ages and abilities.
